Airports in Belize City
There are two airport serving the Belize City. One of them is Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport located in Ladyville, not far away from the city to the northwest. Second one – Belize City Munucipial Airport – is in city itself and serves just for a short haul flights in Belize.
Poor safety
It needs to be said that Belize City is not safe during a night. While days are usually ok, bad things are happening in Belize City in nights. Even local people are afraid of going out in dark because of crime connected with a drug trafficking. Maybe it’s only for good that the capital was moved from Belize City to Belmopan.
